Summary of Position
Support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, washing dishes and equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and basic food items according to recipes and portion standards.
- Wash and store dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow opening and closing checklists and assist with daily kitchen duties.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Dispose of rubbish and maintain adequate cleaning supplies.
- Report equipment issues and product shortages to the Kitchen Manager.
- Assist with food preparation, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks as directed.
- Work collaboratively with the team and follow all kitchen policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying items.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well in a team.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
