We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG), supporting the delivery of complex projects across the metals, mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors. This role will have a strong focus on electrical power systems and power system modelling, providing critical technical expertise across all project phases from early-stage studies through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning. Working as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, you will lead the development of electrical engineering solutions, undertake advanced power system analysis, and provide technical direction on the design, operation, and optimisation of electrical networks. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring others, and delivering practical, high-quality outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the successful delivery of electrical engineering scopes across studies, detailed design, and execution phases.

Provide technical leadership and foster a high-performing team environment focused on achieving positive project outcomes.

Undertake and review electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, earthing, and lightning protection using software such as ETAP and SKM PTW.

Develop electrical engineering designs, calculations, specifications, reports, and associated project deliverables.

Contribute to project capital cost estimates, schedules, and execution planning.

Provide electrical engineering input and coordination within multi-disciplinary project teams.

Support construction and commissioning activities through technical guidance and site-based assistance.

Mentor and develop junior engineers while maintaining high engineering and quality standards.
About You
You will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and possess significant industry experience, ideally aligned with Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status. You have a strong background in electrical power systems, including power system modelling and analysis within industrial, mining, energy, or infrastructure environments. You will be experienced in undertaking and reviewing studies such as load flow, fault level, protection coordination, arc flash, earthing, and network performance assessments, with proficiency in tools such as ETAP and/or SKM PTW. You maintain a thorough understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring all designs are compliant and fit for purpose. Your ability to build effective relationships with clients and project teams, combined with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety, will enable you to be successful in this role. Experience supporting construction activities within operational facilities and mentoring developing engineers will be highly regarded.
