About the Role
As the Director, Exports you will be part of Investment NSW’s Trade & International branch, working with senior leaders and partners across government and industry to deliver practical, high-impact support for NSW businesses.
This role is responsible for developing export programs, understanding and responding to the needs of businesses seeking to grow globally, and providing advice on international trade dynamics. You will play a key leadership role in strengthening NSW’s export performance, increasing the number of exporters and diversifying the state’s export profile to support economic growth, jobs and innovation.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced export, trade or international business development professional who can bring strategic commercial insights, strong stakeholder management skills, and a customer-focused approach to delivering measurable outcomes for NSW businesses.

We're Looking For

Program Management: Experience designing, delivering and continuously improving export programs and services that support businesses, whether they are new to export or looking to diversify into new markets.

Trade and Export Expertise: An ability to provide clear advice across government and industry, align programs with NSW Government priorities, and represent NSW at export-related forums.

People Leadership: A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to guide geographically dispersed teams through complexity, competing priorities and change.

Partnerships and Influence: Proven ability to build and leverage senior partnerships across government, industry and international networks to strengthen export capability, align efforts and deliver coordinated support to businesses.
