About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Technical Building Products Engineer to join the CSR DesignLINK team on a 12-month fixed term contract role.
The DesignLINK team provides technical support to stakeholders and offers practical solutions to non-standard system applications across various CSR brands. Reporting to the Solutions Team Lead & Senior Technical Engineer, you will be engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve project specific technical enquiries.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide Technical Support across different CSR Brands for products and systems for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with CSR Field, Specification and Sales teams to ensure products and systems are correctly recommended and installed correctly for different applications.
- Ensure all recommendations are compliant with the NCC, relevant Codes and standards requirements.
- Generate system improvement ideas and work with other teams to develop new solutions that suit the growing needs of customers and the building industry.
About You
You are a technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex building system challenges and translating technical requirements into practical solutions. You'll be naturally curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple product categories, stakeholders, and projects.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience within building products, construction materials, engineering consultancy, manufacturing, or related sectors
- Relevant Architectural experience or Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering (preferred), however we will also consider candidates with qualifications in other Engineering fields.
- Knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards
- A collaborative approach with a genuine interest in building systems, product performance, and innovation
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
