About the role:
Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Dietitians who is ready for a new adventure. As a Dietitian, you will be a part of the collaborative Nutrition and Dietetics team at our state-of-the-art Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care to the community of Wagga Wagga.
As a Casual Dietitian you may be called on to cover leave and other short falls across our services. You will work with a varied mixed caseload including both inpatients and outpatients.
As the Dietitian, you will:
Provide assessment, diagnosis and management of clients/patients referred for your care within scope of practice and level of experience.
Promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of illness by optimising the nutrition of populations, communities and individuals.

Document all aspects of care including progress notes, education, intervention and care plans, referrals to health care providers, supervision instructions to Allied Health Assistants and data entry within the expected time frame

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Tertiary qualifications in nutrition and dietetics and eligibility for full membership with the Dietitians Australia (DA) including Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
