The opportunity
In this role, you’ll join a high-performing national technical team of five, reporting directly to the National Manager – Product Quality and Standards. You will work on a portfolio of Sydney-based projects, partnering with internal stakeholders to drive quality outcomes across multiple developments.
You will provide technical support and governance to guide project teams in adopting best practices. This includes aligning with national quality standards while balancing customer, market, and feasibility objectives across all asset classes.
Key responsibilities include:
National Development Responsibilities
- Oversee drafting of NQSC Technical Notes by Technical Engineers

Report quality and compliance performance to the National Manager at fortnightly Product Quality & Standards team meetings and to Quarterly Post Completion meetings

Research solutions to systemic technical and compliance issues; propose changes and refinements to Mirvac’s minimum standards
State Development Responsibilities
- Direct and support Technical Engineers on team priorities to achieve the product quality & standards agenda

Oversee the National Owner’s and Occupant Manual (NOOM) and National Building Manual process and approve changes requested by Technical Engineers

Analyse deviations from Product Quality Inclusions proposed by teams and report findings

Monitor and report compliance of National Product Quality Inclusions

Facilitate working groups required across BTS, BTR, CMU and IND
-
Analyse construction variation registers at project completion to identify lessons learnt

Periodic reporting (fortnightly/monthly) to the National Manager
State Legislation & Policy
- Own the NSW Legislation Matrix including periodic updates as required

Support project teams with internal/external audits (e.g.D&BP)

Represent Mirvac at industry roundtables and working groups

Assist in reviews of proposed industry legislation and reforms
Post Completion
- Attend fortnightly post completion meetings and facilitate close out of issues with Mirvac legal.

Analyse post completion defect reports to identify lessons learnt and benchmarking.

Review ongoing budget for state-based post completion (e.g forecasting, tracking, cash flow, reporting) to National Manager.
Design and Construction
- Review project briefs and Project Design Requirements (PDR) to ensure compliance with the national quality agenda

Assess drawings, cost plans and collateral to identify risks, opportunities and compliance gaps

Support project teams at weekly development team and consultant meetings compliance with the national quality agenda

Liaise with consultants, resolving issues and escalating where required

Attend construction sites weekly to liaise with teams and verify compliance with the national quality agenda

Manage and resolve quality-related issues across internal stakeholders

Assess running list submissions related to product quality & standards and provide advice to Senior Development Managers

Support VO assessments and design workshops as required

Assist with D&BP Act compliance and regulated design requirements

Provide advice and assistance to New Business (where required)

Support the rollout of quality improvements.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a strong communicator who can influence and engage internal stakeholders, with experience in complex built form projects and a preference for a more office-based, multi-project environment.
You'll bring:
- 8+ years’ experience in design, project or development management

Background in consultancy or Tier 1 environments, ideally across complex commercial or high-rise residential projects

Relevant degree with practical experience delivering high-quality developments

Strong understanding of planning, approvals (DA/CC, Sec 4.55) and regulatory frameworks (NCC, Australian Standards)

Proven ability to influence stakeholders and navigate complex project environments

Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced setting

Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused approach

Solid understanding of contractual and statutory obligations in development and construction
