What you'll be doing
Responsible for the leadership, guidance and day to day function of the Southern NSW Local Health District Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) team in collaboration with the District Manager Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD).
Provide supervision, support and clinical expertise within drug and alcohol services for the delivery of safe, timely, and high quality MERIT services across local courts in the Queanbeyan, Cooma, Goulburn and Yass region.
Involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on MERIT program deliverables, identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, as well as service delivery and develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff and teams within AOD.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant project management qualifications and/or experience in the implementation of projects and initiatives in a health or similarly complex environment.
- Demonstrated high level clinical experience in drug and alcohol client service delivery and highly developed knowledge and application of case management principles.
- Demonstrated experience to work in and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team with highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, supervision and coordination of evidence based, integrated services within a complex system.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders (non-government and government agencies).
- Demonstrated skills in use of computer based clinical record keeping and other practice related computer software
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
