CatholicCare Tasmania is seeking a registered Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker to join our growing team. This position is a 12 month Maternity leave back fill position within a passionate and growing team. The Psychology team sits within the broader Therapeutic and Counselling stream, and delivers high-quality, psychological support to children, young people and adults.

Selection Criteria:

Commitment to the vision, mission and values of CatholicCare Tasmania; and a broad understanding of the operation of the Catholic Church in Tasmania.
- Commitment to the ongoing development of skills in psychological counselling across ages, including an understanding of the impact of all forms of abuse, including family violence, on women, children, men and family functioning.
- Relevant to your qualification, demonstrated or developing knowledge and experience in assessing, conceptualising, planning and implementing evidenced based intervention strategies with culturally diverse children, young people and adults with a range of presentations and complexities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of group work skills, processes and methodology and the ability to plan, implement, review and evaluate the efficacy of group work programmes.
- Demonstrated analytical, verbal and written communication skills including report writing and maintaining case files, including a clear understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated experience in exercising considerable initiative, discretion and professional judgement and accept personal responsibility within the full scope of the role.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of supervision and peer group supervision.
