About the Opportunity
As the Manager, Ministerial Relations, Strategy & Performance, you will be responsible for:

Overseeing and managing the preparation and collation of Ministerial, parliamentary and District briefing papers, correspondence and documents to ensure information is current, accurate and objective.

Managing key stakeholder relationships internal and external to the organisation, including members of parliament, Ministry representatives and senior external representatives.

Critically analysing urgent, high sensitivity matters that may require the attention of the Chief Executive, senior executives and maintaining issues management systems and protocols.

Managing special projects at the direction of the Chief Executive, including involvement in the development of strategic reports, improvement measures and short-term initiatives.

Leading, planning, developing and reporting on key organisational strategies and documents, including the MLHD Strategic Plan, and high-level coordination of strategic reporting and performance.

Managing staff working in the Murrumbidgee Health and Knowledge Precinct, including direct management of the Office of the Chief Executive team.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Relevant tertiary qualifications, or demonstrated successful experience, providing high level support to senior executives in a health related area.

The ability to research and analyse complex public issues and determine appropriate action, including the formulation of recommendations for management and improvement.

Proven organisational and time management skills in a complex work environment with competing demands and impacts on the organisation and community.

Advanced communication, negotiation and consultation abilities, with the capacity to influence local communities, health professionals and staff.

Highly developed leadership skills, with the capacity and experience to lead, manage, motivate and develop staff as a high performing team.

A demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the vision, goals and values of MLHD and NSW Health, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
