Join Eldercare as a Lifestyle Program Coordinator
Location: Eldercare Head Office, Eastwood
Type: Part time 0.8FTE (days flexible but Fridays preferred)
At Eldercare, our purpose is simple but powerful: to deliver peace of mind with our care.
At Eldercare, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to older South Australians. As one of the state’s leading not-for-profit aged care providers, we foster a compassionate and inclusive work environment where every team member is valued.
By joining Eldercare, you'll become part of a team that prioritises integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on learning and development, we’ll support you as you grow your career.
About the Role
This is an opportunity for a social worker, occupational therapist, or professional with an equivalent background in health, wellbeing or ageing, to move beyond direct clinical care and step into a substantial organisational role with broad influence. As Lifestyle Program Coordinator, you will help shape a program that is a significant contributor to Eldercare’s wellbeing strategy and central to how residents are supported to live well.
Working closely with the General Manager Wellbeing and Allied Programs, you will lead the ongoing development, implementation and refinement of Lifestyle services across Eldercare. The role is focused on strengthening governance, building consistent high-quality practice, and designing the Lifestyle Program for the future, ensuring it reflects best practice, contemporary evidence and the foundational Approaches of the Eldercare Model of Care.
For candidates who are curious about translating their clinical knowledge into program leadership, this role offers the chance to influence health and wellbeing outcomes for older people at scale. You will work collaboratively with Wellbeing, Volunteer and Operations Program teams, Site Operations Managers, clinical staff and external partners to increase resident participation and wellbeing through resident-led opportunities across Eldercare’s four activity themes — Active Body, Healthy Mind, Connection and Create.
What You Will Bring
- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Healthy Ageing, or an equivalent field
- A deep commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of older people
- An ability to bring a fresh perspective to site-based lifestyle and wellbeing programs, applying contemporary evidence about what supports older people to live well.
- An ability to recruit, train and lead a high performing team of Wellbeing Consultants
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to enable collaboration and support change
