Afterpay Arena is seeking a qualified and motivated Facility Electrician to join our Operations team.
Reporting to the Assets Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the Arena's electrical infrastructure and supporting the successful delivery of world-class concerts, sporting events and live entertainment.
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a current NSW Electrical Supervisor Certificate.
- Has experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
- Has a sound understanding of Australian Electrical Standards and electrical compliance requirements.
- Has experience with Building Management Control Systems (BMCS).
- Is confident working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Has experience supervising contractors and coordinating maintenance works.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Holds an ACMA General Cabler Licence (desirable).
- Has experience with telecommunications, air conditioning or refrigeration systems (desirable).
In this role, you will:
- Perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the Arena.
- Test, repair and tag electrical equipment in accordance with legislation and Arena procedures.
- Maintain and monitor building services, plant and equipment, including the Building Management Control System (BMCS).
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct emergency lighting inspections and statutory testing.
- Support the electrical set-up and pack-down of concerts, sporting events and other live entertainment.
- Set up, operate and maintain the Daktronics sports scoring system.
- Connect and disconnect event electrical services and assist touring electricians when required.
- Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, testing documentation and electrical drawings.
- Carry out post-event inspections and report any maintenance issues or damage.
- Assist with building maintenance projects and general facility upkeep.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
The live entertainment industry operates around the clock, so flexibility is essential. The successful applicant will be available to work a rotating roster, including:
- Weekdays
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Public holidays
- Event days

You will work closely with contractors, touring production crews and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable and seamless event operations.
