We are a private clinic specialising in BCG vaccination services, which is the vaccination for Tuberculosis (TB), and are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to work up to half a day on a Saturday every 2 weeks at our Melbourne (Hoppers Crossing) clinic, preferably commencing within the next 4 weeks. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who is confident with injections and enjoys working in a patient-centred, calm clinical environment. Previous experience in intradermal or cosmetic/aesthetic injecting is highly desirable.
✨ About the Role
As our BCG Immunisation Nurse, you will:
- Provide safe and accurate BCG vaccinations for infants, children, and adults (mostly infants)
- Perform comprehensive pre-vaccination assessments and post-immunisation monitoring
- Educate patients and parents about the BCG vaccine, aftercare, and follow-up instructions
- Contribute to a high-quality, professional, and friendly patient experience
✨ What We’re Looking For:
Essential
- Registered Nurse (AHPRA-registered)
- Strong communication skills and a calm, reassuring manner
- Excellent attention to detail and clinical safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Immunisation qualification/certificate
- Permanent Australian resident with working rights
Desirable
- Experience in a TB service or prior BCG/TB experience
- Prior immunisation experience
- Experience in intradermal or cosmetic injecting (anti-wrinkle, dermal fillers) is a strong advantage – training will be provided
