Your key responsibilities will be;
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases.
- Be knowledgable about our products and provide accurate information and suggestions to our customers to meet their needs.
- Serving in a friendly, professional and caring way.
- Closely monitor store sales target
- Acknowledge outstanding results and identify any areas of missed opportunity.
- Collaborate with buyers to select and stock a unique and diverse range of decoration for any occasion (Christmas, Wedding, Easters, etc).
- End of day Sales Reporting.
- Operate EFTPOS terminals and handle cash transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and other customer service-related issues.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver an excellent customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have;
- Proven experience in retail management, with a focus on homewares and gifting.
- Experience with supervising a small team.
- A passionate attitude that inspires team to exceed goals.
- Strong time management, delegation and follow up skills.
- Proven experience working with EFTPOS systems in a retail environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flair and creativity for merchandising and displays
- Experience in event planning or coordination is a plus
