The Governance Division supports effective and transparent decision-making across Council. It provides oversight of governance and risk management frameworks, council and committee processes, records management, freedom of information, business continuity, insurance, policy and legislative delegations and authorisations.

The role
As Governance Officer you will play a key role in ensuring strong corporate governance, records management and statutory compliance across Council. In this diverse and impactful role, you'll be responsible for the delivery of high-quality governance administration, records management, policy development and review and governance related projects including the local government elections and the implementation of a new records management system.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to drive best-practice governance and records management and deliver continuous improvements that strengthen compliance, efficiency and service quality.
