Business Development Manager (ICT / AI)
Zainah Pty Ltd (ACN 134 118 737), trading as "Online Credit 365" — North Sydney, NSW | Full-time
About Us:
Online Credit 365 (Zainah Pty Ltd) is an early-stage startup — the newly launched Australian arm of the global fintech group. As a startup, we operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with limited resources, where you will be expected to build functions from the ground up and wear multiple hats. We operate in the sub-prime / high-risk consumer credit market, providing Small Amount Credit Contracts (SACC) and related short-term lending under our Australian Credit Licence. We build AI-driven, data-led lending technology, combining artificial intelligence, data analytics and Open Banking (Consumer Data Right) to underwrite and serve higher-risk borrowers responsibly.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager (ICT / AI) to drive the commercial growth of our AI-enabled SACC and sub-prime lending platform. This is a demanding, senior role operating in a high-risk, heavily regulated segment of consumer credit. Working at the intersection of commercial strategy and technology, you will turn our artificial-intelligence, data and Open Banking capabilities into new partnerships, products and revenue channels, while managing the elevated credit, conduct and regulatory risk inherent in sub-prime lending.
Duties, tasks and responsibilities include:
· Identifying, developing and securing new business, partnership and distribution opportunities for our AI-driven lending platform and IT services.
· Promoting and positioning our ICT products and AI capabilities to brokers, aggregators, referral partners and platform partners.
· Preparing, presenting and negotiating commercial proposals, integration agreements and partnership contracts.
· Translating AI / machine-learning capabilities (credit decisioning, risk scoring, fraud detection, automated underwriting) into commercial products.
· Leading commercialisation of CDR / Open Banking data integrations and AI-based analytics.
· Working with technology and data-science teams to scope and bring to market new AI/IT features and integrations.
· Owning the sales pipeline, forecasting, targets and commercial reporting.
· Ensuring all activity complies with the NCCP Act, the company's Australian Credit Licence, responsible-lending, CDR, privacy and AML/CTF obligations.
· A relevant tertiary qualification (IT, computer science, engineering, data/analytics, business or commerce).
· A minimum of 10 years' senior experience in ICT / technology business development, commercial management or technology sales.
· Demonstrated direct experience in sub-prime, high-risk or SACC / short-term consumer lending is essential.
· Strong working knowledge of AI / machine learning, data analytics, APIs and modern software platforms, with the ability to translate them into commercial outcomes.
· In-depth knowledge of the Australian consumer-credit regulatory framework — the NCCP Act, SACC obligations, responsible-lending rules, CDR / Open Banking, privacy and AML/CTF.
· Proven ability to build partnerships, negotiate complex commercial / integration agreements and grow revenue in a high-risk lending environment.
· Strong commercial, analytical, stakeholder-management and communication skills.
