About the role
Our Brisbane office has an exciting opportunity for an Associate with a minimum of 3 years of post admission experience, to join our growing national health law practice.
This is an unusual and exciting role which offers a mix of traditional personal injury practice with work in the regulatory and disciplinary space within the health law sector.
We act for doctors and a range of other health and allied health professionals. Around half of the practice involves claims of negligence or malpractice resulting in personal injury. The balance of the practice involves advising in relation to and acting for these health professionals in prosecutions and disciplinary proceedings, coronial inquests, Commissions of Inquiry and regulatory proceedings.
About you
This role offers considerable variety and the opportunity to develop and expand your skills. Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience in the conduct of professional indemnity matters with a personal injury focus
- Knowledge of the medical regulatory environment and related administrative law
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
