This role combines remote support and on‑site service. You will support the complete portfolio of Voortman machines operating across Australia and New Zealand. Your mission is to maximize machine availability and ensure customers can rely on our technology every day.
You will provide first‑line and advanced remote support from the office by guiding customers through questions and troubleshooting steps. For onsite activities you travel to customers to carry out repairs, adjustments, provide training and perform inspections. Traveling to customers can vary, in average you will be 50% of your time in the Brisbane office and the other part of time traveling to customers.
When you are in the office, you also take care of the planning and coordinating of service & maintenance activities and finding the right parts. You manage communication, prioritize incoming technical requests, and keep stakeholders informed about progress and next steps.
Our Service Engineers are part of the Customer Service department, a young and dynamic team consisting of Support, Service, and Maintenance. Everyone in the team is deeply familiar with our machines and passionate about supporting customers. Together, we proudly represent the face of Voortman.

You ensure that you acquire all the (technical) knowledge of the Voortman machines

You will provide first‑line and advanced remote support from the office by guiding customers through questions and troubleshooting steps

On location, you carry out repairs to solve problems, advise customers on the correct adjustment, provide training and carry out inspections

Coordinate service activities, including planning on‑site visits, preparing materials and communication with customers

You work closely together with internal departments at the different international Voortman locations

You ensure clear communication with customers and colleagues about the progress of your work and solutions

You can work both in a team and independently and you are proactive in this role.

You have a completed level 3 or 4 (mechatronics / electrical engineering) or higher;

Experience in the steel industry with similar machines and processes is a plus;

You are proactive, representative and have a customer-oriented attitude;

You have good communication skills, you are entrepreneurial, problem-solving and willing to travel regularly (appr. 50% of your time).
