About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Business Development & Marketing Adviser to join our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office. Reporting to the Head of Business Development & Marketing, and working closely with principals, lawyers and the BD&M team, this role provides business development support in relation to tenders and pursuits, client relationship management, business development planning, marketing and brand awareness campaigns and client engagement activities to meet firm objectives.
Responsibilities include:

Tender and capability statement preparation to maintain existing panel appointments and win new business, including end-to-end project management, content creation, liaising and coordinating with internal stakeholders;

Involvement in BD planning for key client accounts and strategically important practice areas to drive growth and align with the firm strategy;
- Supporting the development and deployment of thought leadership content and other profiling activities to build brand awareness and position individual experts;

Managing legal directory, award and industry submissions to position the firm as a market leader;

Preparing lawyer CVs and profiles tailored to a specific marketing or BD purpose;
-
Maintaining tender related tools and resources, including CV library, tender database, and recognition register;
-
Contributing to development and implementation of tender and proposal best practice to improve outcomes and create efficiencies;

Providing input into the review and updating of website content;
-
Collaborating with team members to produce effective marketing materials; and
-
Event and sponsorship activation assistance, working with responsible team members, as required.
About you
We’re seeking someone with:
-
Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, PR, or Journalism;
-
4+ years’ experience in a similar role within a professional services or corporate environment;
-
Strong level of business development and marketing knowledge and technical ability, particularly in the areas of tender and proposal preparation and management, marketing and business development planning;
-
Highly developed project management skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines;
-
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to understand and translate complex legal concepts into clear, engaging content;
-
Commercial awareness and ability to develop client-focused materials;
-
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while displaying strong attention to detail;
-
Familiarity with a CRM database such as DealCloud would be advantageous;
-
Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of internal clients;

Positive attitude toward work and a desire to learn and develop the role; and
-
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, as required.
