Jewish Care Victoria is seeking a skilled Procurement Category Specialist to actively contribute to nominated business units to manage procurement processes while supporting quality aged care & community services.
What You Will Do
Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tender preparation, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Analyse market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
Support budget planning and expenditure monitoring across service areas
Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting systems
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, or related field
2+ years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
Awareness of rostering and scheduling activities (desirable)
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
Understanding of not-for-profit sector requirements preferred
