Experienced Car Rental Manager Wanted
We are seeking an experienced Car Rental Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of a growing vehicle rental business.
This is an opportunity for an experienced automotive or rental industry professional who understands how to manage vehicles, customers, staff and daily rental operations.
The successful candidate will be organised, commercially minded and confident working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing a car hire or vehicle rental operation is highly regarded. Candidates with strong automotive dealership, fleet management or related industry experience may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily car rental operations
- Manage vehicle availability, bookings and fleet movements
- Coordinate vehicle collection and delivery
- Monitor fleet condition, cleanliness and presentation
- Manage customer enquiries and rental requirements
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Assist with fleet purchasing and vehicle replacement decisions
- Manage and support rental staff
- Monitor rental activity, utilisation and operational performance
- Handle customer issues and resolve problems professionally
- Maintain accurate rental and vehicle records
- Help develop efficient systems and processes as the business grows
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in car rental, vehicle hire, fleet management or a similar automotive environment
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day business operations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Understanding of vehicle fleet management
- Commercial awareness and ability to work towards business targets
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Professional, reliable and hands-on approach
Previous car rental management experience is highly preferred.

You'll need to be comfortable managing vehicles, customers, staff, logistics and day-to-day operations, while making sure the fleet remains available, well maintained and ready for customers.
