The Opportunity: Help establish operations in Arrow’s latest production field and start-up our new Field Compression Station. Reporting to the Operations Manager, purpose of the role is to focus on supporting safe, stable and reliable day-to-day operations through strong field engagement and rapid response to operational issues. It is to provide practical frontline operational engineering support with a strong emphasis on short-term operational process safety, delivery, troubleshooting and operational stability.

In addition, as a Senior Operations Engineer (Maximum term – 12 months contract) you will:
- Provide immediate engineering support to resolve operational and process issues impacting production or reliability.
- Support management of short-term operational and process safety risks, including degraded barriers and abnormal operating conditions;
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause identification for plant upsets, equipment failures and recurring operational issues
- Support safe implementation of brownfield modifications and operational changes within live operating environments
- Drive short-term production optimisation and reducing operational constraints affecting throughput and plant performance
- Providing visible field leadership and technical coaching to operators and supervisors to support sound operational decision making.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
About You:
- Qualifications: Engineering degree in a relevant discipline
- ~5 years Oil and/or Gas industry experience in a similar or related position, preferably in unconventional coal seam gas (CSG) environment.
- Highly developed ability to analyse, problem solve, think and interpret issues across different disciplines and flexibly to achieve goals.
- Exceptional communication, with the ability to foster longstanding relationships with key stakeholders and liaise with all levels of staff.
- Organisation and project management skills, ability to manage minor projects from concept through to execution.
- Ability to show leadership, work independently as well as work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to travel to site and adjust work patterns to provide coverage as needed.
