YOUR NEW ROLE
Join the Sydney Opera House as a SharePoint Information Administrator. You’ll support the implementation, governance and adoption of Microsoft SharePoint collaboration and content management platform, including the administration of the in-place records management solution (currently AvePoint).
The role is responsible for managing and maintaining SOH’s corporate SharePoint information sites, ensuring effective information management, compliance and user engagement across the platform.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

Relevant tertiary qualifications and 2–5 years’ experience in information management and/or technology support within a medium-sized organisation.

Proven experience administering, training, and supporting SharePoint, including information compliance, in-place records management, and tools such as AvePoint.

Strong knowledge of records management, information governance, data lifecycle management, information security, and relevant legislation/policies (State Records Act, GIPA Act, PPIP Act, and NSW Government Cyber Security Policy).

Demonstrated high-level analytical, research, and problem-solving skills applied in an information management environment.

High personal integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

What are the key elements involved in configuring and administering an enterprise SharePoint environment with strong information governance?
You have been asked to create a SharePoint site for a project involving internal staff and external contractors. Contractors should only access project documents that are shared with them, while internal staff should have read/write access to all content. Explain how you would design and implement the permissions model.
