What you'll be doing
As a Dental Assistant Grade 1, you will play a vital role in supporting clinicians to provide high-quality oral healthcare to patients with a wide range of treatment needs. You will ensure efficient clinical operations while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care, infection control and service delivery.
Assist clinicians with dental procedures, patient preparation, instrument transfer, moisture control and patient support
Prepare, maintain and reprocess instruments, equipment and materials in accordance with infection prevention and sterilisation standards
Accurately manage patient records and clinical information using NSW Health and Oral Health digital systems
Participate in training, orientation activities and support the development of trainees and new team members
Contribute to oral health promotion activities and provide services across WSLHD clinics, hospitals, residential facilities, schools and community settings as required
