Position Overview
The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure optimal network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, implement security measures, and support business-critical IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, hardware, software, and communication problems.
- Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network environments.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, access permissions, and firewall configurations.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Support network expansion projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration or infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Experience managing Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar networking equipment.
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking technologies including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of monitoring and network management tools.
- Experience working in enterprise or managed service environments.
