You will rapidly contribute to innovative research on international law frameworks that hold corporations accountable for climate commitments.
You will collaborate with global partners, publish high-impact scholarship, and shape emerging standards for credible net zero transitions.
What you will deliver:
- Conduct independent and collaborative research on corporate climate accountability within international and transnational legal frameworks.
- Develop and publish high-quality scholarly outputs and policy-relevant analyses on net zero targets and transition plans.
- Build partnerships with policymakers, industry bodies and international organisations to translate research into practical accountability tools.
- Co-supervise and mentor research students, strengthening interdisciplinary learning and contributing to an engaged research community.
- Contribute to grant proposals, seminars, conferences and outreach that enhance the programme’s visibility, impact and funding.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold a completed PhD in international, corporate, environmental law or a closely related climate governance discipline.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of corporate climate accountability, including net zero standards, transition plans and climate risk disclosure.
- Design and deliver rigorous research projects independently, adopting new methodologies and producing high-quality publications and outputs.
- Communicate complex legal and interdisciplinary ideas clearly to academic, policy, industry and civil society audiences.
- Thrive in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams and build productive relationships with diverse domestic and international stakeholders.
- Meet Australian work rights requirements and ARC rules on PhD completion prior to commencing the Fellowship.
