About the role
As Team Leader – Operations Project Delivery, you will lead a team of Project Managers and project delivery professionals responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of capital and operational projects that support critical water and wastewater infrastructure across the region.
Combining strategic leadership with hands-on project oversight, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with contractors, consultants, operational stakeholders and local communities, you will provide direction across the full project lifecycle—from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover.
This role offers the opportunity to influence project delivery outcomes, drive continuous improvement, build high-performing teams and play a key role in ensuring essential services continue to meet the needs of our customers and communities.

What you can expect with this role
This role will involve leading and mentoring a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering a portfolio of operational and capital projects that maintain and improve essential water and wastewater services within the region.
Accountable for project performance, safety, quality, budget and schedule outcomes, the position provides strategic direction and oversight across all stages of project delivery, from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, local government and community representatives, the role plays a key part in managing risk, driving commercial outcomes, resolving complex delivery challenges and ensuring value-for-money project outcomes.
In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to business planning, contract management, continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of a high-performing project delivery team.
Your skills and experience
An experienced project delivery leader with a strong track record of successfully delivering infrastructure, construction or operational projects within a complex environment.
Recognised for building and leading high-performing teams, developing people, and fostering a culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement. Strong commercial, contract management and stakeholder engagement skills are supported by the ability to influence outcomes, manage competing priorities and navigate complex project delivery challenges.
A collaborative leadership style, coupled with sound judgement and well-developed communication skills, enables effective engagement with contractors, consultants, internal stakeholders and community representatives. Brings extensive experience in project management, construction delivery and contract administration, with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that provide long-term value for customers and the communities served.
