This is an opportunity to step into a broad Financial Accountant role within a collaborative finance team, offering exposure across financial reporting, payroll, treasury, tax, and operational finance.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the CFO Australia, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory obligations, and smooth accounting processes across the organisation.
This role will suit a technically strong accountant who enjoys variety, has strong attention to detail, and is looking to broaden their exposure across multiple areas of finance within a commercial environment.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with month-end processes including accruals, reconciliations, cost allocations, and financial reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records in line with IFRS, AASB, and statutory requirements
- Supporting external audit processes and internal controls
- Managing weekly bank reconciliations and supporting treasury activities including FX transactions and bank guarantees
- Assisting with payroll processing, payroll tax, superannuation, and associated reporting
- Preparing BAS and supporting taxation compliance requirements
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and working capital management
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement across systems, controls, and reporting
About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Prior experience in a commercial accounting environment
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and Australian taxation requirements
- Exposure to IFRS and AASB reporting standards
- Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Strong Excel skills and exposure to Power BI will be highly regarded
- A proactive and collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
