Pharmaceutical Compounding Sydney Contract or Temp Slade Health
Key Points
- Employment type: 12-month temp, full-time.
- Location: Slade Health Mount Kuring-gai, NSW.
- Who we’re looking for: Registered Pharmacists looking to move into a pharmaceutical production role.
- NOTE: Current AHPRA Pharmacist general registration is required.
At Icon, You Can
Are you a newly registered Pharmacist ready to begin your career in a meaningful way? Or an experienced Pharmacist seeking a change beyond community or hospital pharmacy?
At Slade Health, you’ll step into pharmaceutical manufacturing; a fast-paced, highly regulated environment where your work directly contributes to life-saving treatments. Whether you're just starting out or ready for a new direction, you’ll be supported by experienced mentors, and gain experience in advanced sterile compounding practices.
What You’ll Do
As a Quality Pharmacist, you’ll play an active role in the preparation and compounding of oncology treatments. You’ll work closely with the Operations team and report to the Quality Pharmacist Supervisor, helping ensure everything meets the highest standards. This is a hands-on role where your work truly matters and there’s plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.
Key responsibilities:
- Release finished products, including oncology medications, antibiotics, and TPN.
- Ensure products are compounded in accordance with specifications and documentation.
- Maintain adherence to quality management systems and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and revision of quality documents.
- Review and manage product non-conformances, escalating where required.
- Ensure incidents, deviations, and complaints are accurately recorded in the QMS.
Shift information:
- Monday to Friday, 02:00pm to 10:00pm (hours may vary).
- Participation in an occasional weekend on-call roster is required.
Site Information
The Slade Health site at Mt. Kuring-Gai is tucked away in a quiet industrial area on the northern fringe of Sydney. It’s a peaceful spot, away from the hustle and bustle, but that does mean you’ll likely need your own transport to get there. The good news? There’s free onsite parking, and because you’ll be travelling in the opposite direction to peak hour traffic, your commute is usually quicker and far less stressful than heading into the city.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll bring a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a proactive mindset. Whether you're an experienced compounding Pharmacist, newly registered or transitioning from another pharmacy setting, your ability to adapt, learn, and work collaboratively will be key to your success.
While compounding and oncology experience is highly valued, it is not a deal-breaker. We only require that you are an AHPRA registered Pharmacist to qualify for this role.
Essential requirements
- Permanent Australian working rights.
- Current AHPRA Pharmacist general registration, with no practice restrictions.
- Availability for occasional weekend shifts
Desirable skills & experience
- Experience in compounding or oncology pharmacy.
