The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced ICT Business Analyst with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 capability to join our consulting team.
Working directly with clients, project teams and technical specialists, you will analyse business needs, document requirements and translate them into effective Dynamics 365 solutions. You will support projects throughout the delivery lifecycle, from discovery and solution design through to testing, implementation and adoption.
Key responsibilities
- Consult with clients and stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, challenges and system requirements.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Analyse existing business processes, systems and data flows.
- Identify gaps, risks and opportunities for process and technology improvement.
- Document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and functional specifications.
- Translate business requirements into solution requirements for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
- Work with solution architects, developers and consultants to confirm solution feasibility and design.
- Configure and support Dynamics 365 functionality where appropriate.
- Assist with data migration requirements, integrations, reporting and security-role design.
- Prepare test plans and coordinate system, integration and user-acceptance testing.
- Investigate defects and work with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Support implementation, training, change management and transition to business-as-usual operations.
- Maintain clear project documentation and communicate progress, risks and decisions to stakeholders.
- Contribute to delivery standards, reusable assets and continuous improvement across the consulting practice.
Skills and experience
To be considered, applicants must demonstrate:
- Relevant experience working as an ICT Business Analyst, Functional Consultant or similar.
- Practical experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Strong business-process analysis and requirements-gathering capability.
- Experience facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to produce clear requirements, process maps, user stories and functional documentation.
- Understanding of software implementation and systems-development lifecycles.
- Experience supporting testing, issue resolution and solution implementation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
Desirable experience
- Experience with Dynamics 365 [Customer Engagement/CRM, Customer Service, Sales, Field Service, Finance or Supply Chain—retain only the relevant modules].
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
- Familiarity with Azure services, integrations, APIs, reporting or data migration.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform certifications.
- Experience delivering consulting projects in complex client environments.
Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, business information systems or a related discipline is preferred. Substantial relevant professional experience may be considered where appropriate.
