Position Summary
The Facilities Officer supports the effective operation of College facilities through hands‑on assistance with maintenance support, furniture movements, logistics, and general facilities operations. Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, this role contributes to the continuity, safety, and presentation of the College environment.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and report facilities maintenance needs

Log maintenance requests and assist with timely resolution

Assist with furniture moves, room setups, and equipment distribution

Provide practical support for facilities projects
-
Support the continuity of daily school operations
Logistics and Operational Support
-
Collect and deliver mail, parcels, and documents
-
Assist with waste management and cleaning allocations
-
Set up and pack down for school events and activities
-
Move and reconfigure furniture and resources across campus
-
Monitor supplies, stock, registers, gas bottles, signage, and equipment
-
Carry out minor maintenance tasks and report major repair requirements
-
Support pest mitigation activities
-
Assist with bookings and preparation of church and shared venues
Campus and Event Support

Assist with car park monitoring and traffic duties
-
Complete off‑site errands as required
-
Support facilities needs during major College events
General Duties
-
Assist in maintaining campus security during school hours

Perform other reasonable duties as required
Selection Criteria

Profess a Christian faith and actively attend a church fellowship

Model Christ‑like character and Christian living within the community
-
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to liaise effectively with staff, parents/carers, students, contractors, and external professionals

Strong computer literacy skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

High‑level organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
Desirable

Strong understanding of environmental sustainability, workplace health and safety, and compliance with WH&S legislation and guidelines
