Who We Are
iSelect and Compare the Market are trusted, well-known brands dedicated to helping millions of Australians compare and buy personal finance and household products such as insurance, energy, and loans. Together, we provide a seamless, customer-focused experience that makes it easier for Australians to find the right products to suit their needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Our Finance Officer is a role that’s both hands-on and highly connected to the wider business. While there’s a strong focus on accounts payable (with some exposure to AR), this isn’t a purely behind-the-scenes role - you’ll be working closely with teams across the organisation to keep things running smoothly day to day.
You’ll be across the full AP process, along with supporting bank reconciliations for both Compare the Market and iSelect and partnering with the business on credit card and corporate travel reconciliations. There’s plenty of variety, from resolving queries and keeping records accurate, through to assisting with month-end.
You’ll also play a part in our ERP implementation, supporting areas like data clean-up, testing and helping improve how things are done as we transition to a new system. It’s a great opportunity to get involved in meaningful change while staying close to the day-to-day finance operations.
What’s In It For You
At Compare the Market and iSelect, we’re all about helping people make smart choices – and joining us might just be yours. We offer an environment where your ideas are heard, your contributions are valued and your growth genuinely matters. Collaboration is part of our DNA and you’ll be joining a supportive, forward-thinking team where you can do meaningful work (and be recognised for it!)
We’re guided by three shared values that shape how we work, how we treat each other, and how we show up for our customers - Drive, Noble Intent and All Together.
Plus, we offer a range of great perks to help you thrive both in and out of work:
-
Vibrant and social community who have annual celebrations, family fun days and regular events
-
Enjoy flexible work arrangements, including the option of one day working from home each week or a 9-day fortnight

- Return To Work bonus for returning parents

What Sets You Apart
You’re someone who enjoys being across the detail and takes real pride in getting things right. You’re proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can shift - and you’re always happy to roll up your sleeves to help the team.
You’ll bring:
-
At least two years’ experience in a Finance Officer (or similar) role, with a strong focus on AP (and some AR exposure)
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the confidence to work across the business
-
Solid Excel skills and confidence working with cloud-based ERP systems
-
High attention to detail, with a proactive and organised approach to your work
-
The ability to manage competing priorities and keep things moving
- A natural ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with different teams

A mindset focused on continuous improvement - always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working
Experience with TechnologyOne would be a big plus, but not essential.
