About the role
As the Site Supervisor – Chemical Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our Mount Isa site while representing Coogee professionally in all customer interactions. This hands-on position combines plant operations, laboratory testing, equipment monitoring, maintenance coordination and compliance activities within a safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chemical processing and dosing systems.
- Monitor plant performance, process parameters and product quality.
- Conduct sampling, testing and recording of operational data.
- Ensure safe handling, storage and transfer of chemicals.
- Inspect plant and equipment and coordinate maintenance requirements.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of a small operational team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational planning.
- Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
The successful candidate
We are looking for a driven and dependable professional, who has:
- Experience in chemical processing, water treatment, industrial operations or related environments.
- Experience operating and monitoring process equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical dosing, sampling and testing procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities.
- Ability to work independently and make operational decisions.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Fire, First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling training
- Forklift licence
- Manual vehicle licence
