The Role
We are currently seeking to hire an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Team. This is a full-time permanent role based in our corporate office in Fortitude Valley. The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate allocation of payments to accounts.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepare daily banking and journals, review and reconcile accounts
- Receipt debtor payments and donations and assist in following up overdue accounts
- Generate debtor invoices and statements as required and assist with processing authorised write-offs and credit notes
- Maintain correct details for direct debits, and process monthly files including credit cards
- Assist with debt recovery procedures
- Provide relief and backup support to team members as required
Experience and qualifications
- Ability to organise and prioritise own work activities and schedules to meet established deadlines and achieve high quality work outcomes
- Strong computer skills, intermediate level ability in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of financial software including accounts receivable and general ledger modules - previous experience in MS Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded
- Ability to maintain sustained level of concentration in a volume processing activity to ensure accuracy and identify errors to be addressed
- Proven ability to deal with debtor queries and outstanding accounts in a courteous and professional manner
- National Police Check (to be provided during onboarding if successful).
