About the role
The Nursing Director (ND) Professional Practice provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership.
The ND Professional Practice supports the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery to ensure the delivery of high quality, contemporary, effective, and responsive professional practice by assuming responsibility for Professional Practice portfolios across West Moreton Health (WMH).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated high level knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery leadership, governance and system redesign to achieve quality outcomes.
Demonstrated commitment to outcome-driven performance and organisational achievement.
Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise effectively with (internal and external) key stakeholders.
Demonstrated advanced level knowledge and understanding of the key concepts of national and state health legislation, policies, frameworks, and standards.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement innovations, systemic change processes and coordination of responses to nursing and midwifery practice and health service needs.
Demonstrates expertise in leading organisational change for nursing and midwifery.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
