Dental on Cambridge is located in the bustling Manly Village a short stroll from the picturesque waterfront harbour. Dr Alex Ritchie is the principal dentist and has worked to create a professional but fun and relaxed environment focused on making great experiences for our patients. We are a small team of 7, looking to add a talented dental assistant with a positive attitude. We are open to casual arrangements moving to part time arrangements to secure the ideal candidate/s.
About the role:
- The purpose of this role is to provide high quality assistance to dentists engaged at Dental on Cambridge, by ensuring the smooth running of the surgery rooms, sterilizing rooms and general management of the supplies required to ensure an exceptional high quality experience for patients.
- The ideal candidate will be a team player and be able to engage in primary dental assistant roles, however reception skills would also be advantageous.
The right candidate can start as soon as possible.
The key tasks are:
- Surgery room preparation
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to efficiently utilise required technologies, including but not limited to the use of practice software Exact
- Support patients oral health goals
- Professional sterilising protocol compliance

Skills and experience
We are searching for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- Experience utilising EXACT Practice Management Software (or similar)
- Knowledge of and experience implementing, up to date Infection Control Standards and Guidelines
- A high level of customer service, patient care and patient centred focus
- Proven ability to be organised, implement practice protocols, manage the day to day operations of the surgery rooms and sterilising rooms
- Well-developed communication, time management and organisation skills including active listening and records management
Desirable
- Completed Certificate III Dental Assisting (or above)
- Over 1 years experience will be highly regarded
- Experience as both a dental assistant and in the front office will be highly regarded

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour
