400 Gradi Essendon is looking for an experienced and energetic Waitstaff professional to join our Front of House team.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, is confident looking after their own section and understands what great restaurant service looks like, warm, attentive and professional without losing personality.
This is a Casual position, with shifts offered based on operational requirements and your availability. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking to join an established Italian restaurant and become part of the wider Gradi Group.
Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a section waiter within a busy restaurant or similar hospitality environment
- Strong Friday and Saturday availability, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Valid Australian working rights
Salary: $33.85 per hour + superannuation + applicable penalty rates

What you’ll do
- Confidently manage your own section during restaurant service
- Welcome guests and provide attentive, personable service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Develop strong knowledge of our menu, wine and beverage offering
- Make recommendations and help guests navigate the menu
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally
- Clear, reset and maintain tables throughout service
- Process payments and use the venue POS system
- Communicate closely with the kitchen, bar and wider Front of House team
- Maintain presentation, cleanliness and service standards throughout your shift
- Follow responsible service of alcohol and food safety requirements

- Reliability and punctuality
- Current Victorian RSA, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing
- A genuine desire to provide memorable hospitality rather than simply taking orders
