The Role
This is a flexible, part-time position averaging 20 hours a week — designed to work around study, other commitments, or just life in general. As you develop with us, there's a clear pathway to more hours and greater responsibility.
You'll often be the first person a small business owner speaks to at Word of Mouth. Your job is to have genuine conversations, understand what a business actually needs, and show them how our platform delivers it. There's no cold-calling strangers — you'll be working warm leads and businesses already listed in our directory.
What You'll Be Doing
- Contacting warm leads and re-engaging businesses already listed with us
- Walking business owners through our platform with a consultative, no-pressure approach
- Identifying pain points and matching them with the right solutions
- Keeping your CRM pipeline accurate and current
- Helping build a high-performance team culture grounded in learning and honesty
The Pay
$30/hr + super, plus uncapped commission. Hit your targets and your earnings grow — there's no ceiling on what you can make.
What We're Looking For
You don't need a sales background — you need the right mindset.
Must-haves:
- A confident, clear communicator, both on the phone and in writing
- Self-motivated and organised — no one needs to stand over you
- Resilient and goal-driven — rejection doesn't knock you off course
- A natural problem-solver who works things out independently
Great to have:
- Currently studying business, marketing, communications, or similar
- Some exposure to digital marketing or SaaS tools
- Previous remote or startup experience
