We are seeking a hands-on, solution-focused Martech Manager to develop and elevate the data and technology capabilities that power Canstar’s customer marketing, personalisation, and lifecycle communications.
Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, this pivotal role sits at the intersection of Marketing, Data, and Technology. You will translate customer and business strategy into high-performing CRM, marketing automation, and customer data solutions, while actively contributing to the ongoing evolution of Canstar’s Single Customer View.

CRM & Marketing Technology

Develop and enhance CRM and marketing technology capabilities that support customer acquisition, engagement and retention.
- Configure, implement and continuously improve CRM platforms and personalisation capabilities.
- Design and implement reusable customer journeys, decisioning and automation that enable Marketing to execute more effectively.
- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify marketing processes through smarter integration and use of technology.
- Own the CRM and marketing technology roadmap day to day, partnering with Architecture and Engineering to evolve the platform capability over time.
Customer Data & Personalization

Partner with Marketing to understand customer engagement opportunities and translate them into technology and data requirements.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Architecture to develop customer data capabilities that support segmentation, personalisation and lifecycle marketing, including ongoing contribution to Canstar's Single Customer View.
- Validate that customer information within CRM and marketing platforms is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose.
Delivery & Continuous Improvement

Prototype, implement and refine new CRM, marketing technology and AI capabilities, taking ideas from concept through to production.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities, identifying practical opportunities to improve customer experience and team productivity.
- Measure the effectiveness of customer journeys and automation, using insight to continually improve capability.
- Partner with Marketing to test, learn and iterate, delivering measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
- Experience: 5+ years in marketing operations, CRM lifecycle management, or marketing tech stack administration.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technical Setup: Hands-on experience implementing and configuring modern CRM or marketing automation platforms (e.g., Zoho CRM, MoEngage, Braze, or equivalent).
- Data Integration: Proven experience integrating CRM tools with APIs, cloud data environments, customer data models, and web analytics/tag management (Google Analytics, GTM).
- Collaboration: Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven track record of working seamlessly alongside marketers, software engineers, and architects.
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), identity, or audience management tools (e.g., Segment).
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Experience with Amazon Connect or modern contact center platforms.
- Exposure to A/B testing, multivariate testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled marketing tools and working within privacy-sensitive/regulated environments.
