What You'll Do
The Warehouse Assistant (Receiver & Dispatcher) supports the day-to-day movement of bicycles, parts, accessories and returned stock through the Frenchs Forest operation. The role is responsible for receiving, stock movements, order fulfilment, returns processing, packing and dispatch, including routine STXR and ExDemo tasks completed under the guidance of the Workshop, OEM & QC Coordinator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Receiving & Inventory
- Receive, unload, count, scan and check incoming stock and transfers against the relevant documentation.
- Inspect stock for damage, missing items or discrepancies and escalate issues where required.
- Record inventory receipts and movements accurately in the relevant systems.
- Label, organise and store stock in the correct warehouse locations.
- Refer unidentified or complex STX inventory to the Workshop, OEM & QC Coordinator.
Order Fulfilment & Dispatch
- Pick, pack, label and prepare customer orders and stock transfers for dispatch.
- Check product, quantity and condition before orders are dispatched.
- Complete the required system movements and dispatch documentation accurately.
- Stage and load outbound goods safely for collection by couriers, delivery drivers or internal transport.
- Escalate issues that may affect order accuracy or dispatch timeframes.
Returns, STXR & ExDemo Support
- Receive and process returned bicycles and other stock in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete routine STXR classification, labelling, system movements, packing and dispatch.
- Ensure returned stock and transfer documentation are accurate before dispatch.
- Support the creation and maintenance of ExDemo products, SKUs, barcodes and inventory records.
- Escalate unclear classifications, discrepancies or process exceptions to the Workshop, OEM & QC Coordinator.
General Warehouse Support
- Complete internal stock movements and assist with stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Maintain clean, safe and organised receiving, storage and dispatch areas.
- Monitor packaging and warehouse consumables and raise replenishment needs.
- Safely use forklifts and other material-handling equipment where trained, authorised and appropriately licensed.
- Support receiving, picking, packing and dispatch activities during peak periods.
Safety & Teamwork
- Follow all work health and safety, manual-handling and equipment procedures.
- Report hazards, incidents, damaged stock and unsafe practices promptly.
- Check the accuracy and quality of work before stock is stored, transferred or dispatched.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations, Workshop, Customer Service and Warranty teams.
- Undertake other reasonable warehouse duties consistent with the role’s purpose, skills and training.
About You
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant warehousing, logistics, inventory or supply-chain training is desirable.
Experience:
- Previous experience in warehousing, receiving, dispatch, inventory control, logistics or a similar operational environment.
- Experience using inventory, warehouse or order-management systems, barcode scanners and basic spreadsheet tools.
- Experience picking, packing and dispatching customer orders or stock transfers.
- Experience handling bicycles, bulky goods or ecommerce orders is advantageous but not essential.
Skills:
- High attention to detail when checking quantities, product condition, labels, documentation and inventory records.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely handle, move, pack and store bicycles, cartons and other stock using appropriate equipment and manual-handling techniques.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to raise discrepancies, delays and safety concerns promptly.
- Practical problem-solving skills and sound judgement about when to resolve routine issues or escalate them.
- Ability to follow established receiving, inventory-transfer, returns and dispatch procedures accurately.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to shared team priorities.
- Comfortable learning and using inventory, warehouse and workplace systems.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality and maintaining an organised work environment.
