Your new role:
Join our multidisciplinary Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) team as a Senior Speech Pathologist, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to adolescents experiencing acute mental health challenges.
Deliver advanced speech pathology assessment, intervention and evaluation within a collaborative interdisciplinary team in the Acute Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Unit.
Provide clinical leadership through mentoring, supervision and education of clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants while supporting evidence-based practice.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement and research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and strengthen speech pathology services.
Apply expert clinical judgement in the management of complex cases, working closely with patients, families and community partners to support effective care planning and discharge.
About you:
You are an experienced and compassionate Speech Pathologist who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
Demonstrated experience delivering high-level speech pathology services for complex clinical presentations, with strong assessment, intervention and clinical decision-making skills.
A collaborative communicator who builds positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams, provides expert clinical advice and effectively engages with patients, families and stakeholders.
Proven leadership capability, including experience supervising and supporting clinicians, students or support staff while fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
A proactive and adaptable professional with a commitment to evidence-based practice, service improvement and delivering safe, person-centred care in a mental health setting.
