My Disability Care (MDC) is a growing, values-driven NDIS provider delivering high-quality disability support services across Queensland. As we continue to expand throughout the Wide Bay region, we are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Area Coordinator to join our team in Bundaberg.
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager – Wide Bay, you will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day service delivery while building strong relationships within the local community to support the growth of our participant base.

About the Role
As Area Coordinator, you will oversee the daily coordination of supports within the Bundaberg region. You will work closely with support workers, participants, families and referral partners to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will also help grow MDC's presence by developing professional relationships with Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, hospitals, allied health professionals and other community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate day-to-day delivery of participant supports.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure effective service delivery.
- Allocate shifts and respond to rostering changes.
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to support workers.
- Assist with participant onboarding and service commencement.
- Ensure participant schedules and documentation remain accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager to maintain high service quality and compliance.
- Assist with incident reporting and operational problem-solving.
Community Engagement & Business Development
- Build strong relationships with Support Coordinators and other referral partners.
- Promote MDC's services within the Bundaberg community.
- Attend networking events and community forums.
- Identify opportunities to support new participants.
- Assist prospective participants through the intake process.
- Represent MDC professionally within the local disability sector.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys balancing operations with relationship building.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience in disability services, NDIS, aged care or community services.
- Experience in rostering, service coordination or operations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence building relationships with participants, families and community professionals.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to work.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of people with disability.
Essential Requirements
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable motor vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- National Police Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain).
