Hours: 22.5–30 hours per week
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Position: Permanent Part-Time
Experience: Minimum 3 years

Why choose us?
With so many early childhood job advertisements to choose from, and many offering a range of benefits, you may be wondering why you should choose us.
We genuinely put our children first.
We are a small, community-focused, not-for-profit service with up to 27 children per day. Every dollar outside of our operating costs goes directly back into the Centre and the children we care for.
We have two classrooms:
- Kookaburras – 0–3 years
- Wombats – 3–5 years
If you are looking for a change from working in a large 100+ place Centre, we welcome you to our small and supportive community.
We close for two weeks over the Christmas period, providing our team with a guaranteed break at the end of the year.
Our operating hours are 7:30am–5:30pm, with rotating shifts available. Applicants must be able to work flexible start and finish times.
What makes our Centre different?
Our Centre is located within the Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre, providing our children with opportunities to connect with the wider community and participate in local events.
We are also surrounded by beautiful natural spaces, including a community garden, public playground and large areas of greenery that we can access with the children.
Our philosophy is centred around:
- Community connections
- Nature-based programs and play
- Supporting children's agency and independence
- Encouraging children to have greater control over their own learning
- Building strong, respectful relationships with children and families
We have high staff retention and pride ourselves on providing flexible shifts, supportive management, a positive team environment and a workplace where educators feel valued.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Educator who:
- Has a minimum of 3 years' experience in early childhood education
- Is passionate about achieving high-quality outcomes for children and families
- Actively contributes to and enjoys being part of a team
- Is highly motivated and passionate about early childhood education
- Is flexible and demonstrates initiative
- Is confident sharing ideas and contributing to the ongoing development of the Centre
- Is confident and knowledgeable in observations, planning and implementing educational programs
- Understands the importance of children's agency, independence and learning
- Builds strong and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
