Job Title: Female Female Disability Support Worker

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to an NDIS participant in their home. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living tasks, promote independence, and support the participant to achieve their individual goals in line with their NDIS plan.
This role involves both morning and evening shifts, sometimes sleepover focusing on personal care, routine support, and community access in a respectful, empowering, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respectful, person-centred support in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, grooming, and dressing.
- Support meal preparation and promote healthy eating habits.
- Implement individual support plans and encourage skill-building and independence.
- Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation in accordance with NDIS and organisational requirements.
- Support behaviour management strategies and uphold the participant’s rights, dignity, and choices.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent qualification.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working With Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Ability to follow individual care plans and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience supporting individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities.
- Understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed approaches.
- Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts, including weekends if required.
- Positive, reliable, and empathetic attitude with a genuine desire to make a difference.
