About the Role
Fully Promoted Macarthur is seeking an experienced Embroidery Machine Operator to join our team in Ingleburn.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity for someone with previous commercial embroidery experience who is confident setting up and operating embroidery machines, working across different garments and maintaining a consistently high standard of finished product.
You will work across a variety of customer orders including corporate uniforms, workwear, polos, shirts, jackets, caps and other branded apparel, ensuring each job is completed accurately, efficiently and to customer specifications.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail and can confidently manage embroidery jobs within a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate commercial embroidery machines
- Prepare garments and products for embroidery
- Hoop garments accurately and select appropriate backing/stabilisers
- Load embroidery designs and prepare machines for production runs
- Select and change threads, needles and machine settings as required
- Monitor embroidery throughout production to ensure quality and accuracy
- Complete both small custom orders and larger production runs
- Check logo positioning, sizing, colours and overall finish against job requirements
- Identify and troubleshoot common embroidery and machine issues
- Carry out basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance
- Trim, finish, fold and prepare completed garments for customer orders
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe production area
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure customer orders are completed within required timeframes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous commercial embroidery machine operating experience – essential
- Confidence setting up and operating embroidery machines independently
- Experience embroidering a range of garments including polos, shirts, jackets, workwear and caps
- Strong knowledge of garment hooping and embroidery placement
- Understanding of threads, needles, backing and stabilisers
- Ability to recognise and resolve common embroidery production issues
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow job sheets, artwork and customer specifications
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
Experience with garment printing, heat pressing or other apparel decoration methods would also be advantageous but is not essential.
