Support Worker – Aged Care

About the Role
As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will provide essential daily living and personal care support to clients in their homes. You will work under the direction of a care plan and in collaboration with Registered Nurses and Case Managers to ensure safe, consistent and high-quality care.
This is a community-based role where no two days are the same, and your support helps clients remain connected to their community and maintain their independence.
What Your Day Might Look Like
- Providing personal care support including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assisting clients with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home
- Supporting meal preparation and basic household tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Observing and reporting any changes in a client’s condition to clinical staff
- Following individual care plans and organisational procedures
- Supporting clients’ dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing
- Working in accordance with the Aged Care Code of Conduct (2024) and Statement of Rights (2024)

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in aged care or personal care support (preferred but not essential for entry-level applicants)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently in the community
- Good observation skills with the ability to report changes accurately
- Commitment to person-centred care and dignity in all interactions
Requirements
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working rights within Australia
- Compliance with Aged Care worker screening requirements (Aged Care Rules 2025)
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle (essential for community roles)
