Operating seven days a week, we serve lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday, with a relaxed lunch service on Sundays. Our team of more than 150 hospitality professionals work together across front and back-of-house to create memorable experiences for every guest. The Role
We are seeking experienced Food & Beverage Attendants to join our Front of House team as Section Waiters. This is a full-time position, paid hourly under our Enterprise Agreement, with rates closely aligned to the Restaurant Industry Award. Working across a five-day rotating roster, you will be responsible for managing a section within a high-volume, premium à la carte service environment.
With the support of an Operations Manager, Restaurant Managers and Duty Managers, you will thrive in a high-volume setting that averages 500 covers per day, delivering exceptional service with confidence and consistency.

Managing a section and delivering attentive, professional à la carte service
- Building rapport with guests to create memorable dining experiences
- Communicating effectively with floor management, food runners, the bar and the kitchen
- Maintaining pace and precision in a large, high-volume environment
- Upholding Cafe Sydney’s service standards, professionalism and sequence of service
About You

Minimum three years’ experience in section waiting, preferably in an elevated à la carte restaurant
- Ability to manage large sections with confidence in a high-volume service environment
- Strong knowledge of food, wine and sequence of service in premium dining
- Must hold a current RSA
- Successful candidates will also be required to complete the NSW Food Authority Food Handler Basics training
- Must have full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
- Availability across a five-day rotating roster, including evenings and weekends
