Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
- Plate and present nutritious, well-balanced meals, including texture-modified diets
- Monitor and record food, fridge, freezer, and bain-marie temperatures
- Ensure safe food storage, handling, and hygiene practices
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas and equipment
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year’ experience as a Cook (aged care or healthcare setting desirable)
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of food safety and OH&S standards
- Ability to prepare meals for special dietary needs
- Strong time management and independence
