Salary: $80,000 + superannuation
Hours: Full Time - 38 hours per week
Term: 2 years
This role will keep you busy, challenged, learning, and contributing! You will report directly to senior management and work closely with multiple divisions across the ARA Group to support financial reporting, budgeting, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting with the preparation and implementation of budgeting, financial, and accounting policies across the organisation;
- Preparing financial reports, statements, and accounting documentation for management, directors, shareholders, and regulatory bodies;
- Reviewing operational costs, organisational expenditure, and revenue performance to assist with financial planning and analysis;
- Providing financial and taxation advice relating to business operations, budgeting, and financial management practices;
- Preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports to support management decision-making and strategic planning;
- Monitoring cash flow, financial performance, and cost management processes to ensure operational efficiency;
- Maintaining accounting records, internal financial controls, and reporting procedures in accordance with company and legislative requirements;
- Assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of accounting systems and financial software applications;
- Liaising with financial institutions, external accountants, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders where required;
- Preparing financial analysis and recommendations to assist management in improving business performance and achieving organisational objectives.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- At least 1 year of previous experience in an accounting or finance related role;
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems;
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills;
- No convictions on Police Check.
