Round Bird Food & Wine Merchants is an iconic, long standing café situated at the gateway to the beautiful Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. We are well renowned both locally and afar for the high quality food and service that we provide. Our small, esteemed venue has been featured in the Age, the Herald Sun, Qantas epiqure, Yarra Ranges Lifestyle magazine, and Delicious magazine to name a few.
Our small but skilled team on the floor are looking for more people to help them continue producing high quality beverages and provide great table service to customers. This role is best suited to juniors; those in school looking for a new position and to learn great work and life skills.
As a food & beverage attendant your role contributes to the timely fulfilment of our production targets.
A few must haves for this role include:
- Efficient team player that shows respect to co-workers and managers
- Willingness to learn and demonstration of initiative
- Mental and physical stamina, we don't stop!
- A good head for multi-tasking and memory.
About the role
Reporting to our Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for production of coffee beverages, tea, and other beverages, running food and beverage, clearing tables and taking orders.
The general responsibilities of the role include:
- Help maintain the hygiene of the bar
- Help keep the quality and efficiency of our table service at a high standard
- Ensure that the bar operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Take orders at counter and tables and input them into our POS with accuracy
- Delivery food and beverage to tables
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
- Report all equipment breakdowns or failures to management
- Any other duties as required by the Front of House Manager
