What you'll be doing
As a Medical Diagnostic Radiographer, you will provide high quality diagnostic imaging services in line with professional standards, national registration requirements and Western Sydney Local Health District policies. This role is primarily focused on overnight imaging services, with daytime shifts required as operational needs arise.
Perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging examinations safely, accurately and efficiently.
Deliver compassionate, patient centred care by informing, supporting and reassuring patients throughout their imaging journey.
Participate in a rotating 24 hour, 7 day roster across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, with a primary focus on overnight shifts.
Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and responsive patient care.
Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention and the effective operation of the Imaging Department.

Essential Criteria
License: Eligible for NSW EPA Radiation Licence iA14
Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
Registration: Eligible for and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement.
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience in general radiography including but not limited to general and trauma, operation suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy.
Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
